Version: 1.1.0

Stability guarantees

Not every public name is a promise. Mojo marks APIs by how likely they are to change.

Essentials

  • Stable APIs keep their behavior across minor releases.
  • Experimental APIs can change or disappear in the next minor release.
  • Nightly builds can change from one day to the next.
  • A deprecation warning arrives before a stable API is removed.
  • Internal modules are not a supported surface, even if you can import them.

Example

@deprecated("Use scale instead")
fn old_scale(x: Float64) -> Float64:
    return x * 2

Keep in mind

Pin your compiler version in the project file so a stable API stays the one you tested.
